Swami Vishwatmanand College of Education was established in the year 2001 by His Holiness Swami Vishwatmanand Saraswati, Being the son of soil Swami Ji wanted to eradicate illitracy of the region, established various Institutions at Shiv Kashi Sunderbani, a beautiful place in the lap of kalidar hills and a tehsil head quarter 78 K.M. from Jammu and 80 K.M from rajouri. According to Swami Ji Education is a shining lamp which enlightens up the Darkness of One's Soul. It brightness the mind and directs the spirit to walk on the right path. College is affiliated to Jammu University and recognised by the Govt. of Jammu and Kashmir state. It aims at producing well trained and skilled teachers, so that they led a life of high values and discipline and become role models for students in the schools. The new experiments in Education and intriduction of reforms and improved teaching techniques is to enable the students for competent participation in the changing social orer. we cannot concieve of civilization without proper educational development. Hence our foremost task is to being qualitative improvement in our college. The infrastructure of the College is expanding at a remarkable rate. The management and the staff are all set to make it a distinguished place of learning. The College is housed in a new building with spacious class rooms, computer facility is provided to every student. library is well equipped, staff is trying to improve professional and academic skills and in this connection University of Jammu is inviting our staff for various seminars, workshops and refreshers courses. Because of hard work of all employees ISO 9001:2008 certificate has been awarded to the college. The College welcomes you all, and expects regularity, discipline and character from our B.Ed. trainees.
